Gomez, a junior from Barcelona Spain, scored twice in his NJIT debut in a 4-3 overtime loss at Long Island on September 1.  

The 6-foot-3 transfer from Missouri Valley College knotted the match a 1-1 in the 28th minute and collected his second goal with 43 seconds remaining in the contest to force overtime.

Gomez was honored as Atlantic Soccer Conference Player of the Week.
