Blake Brancato won Male Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at the Ninth Annual Ramapo Invitational the Highlanders participated in over the weekend.
 
The fifth year placed first in the 3000 meter steeplechase, his first time competing in the event since 2017.
 
Brancato’s time of 9:35.48 broke two records, the Ramapo Invite meet record and the NJIT record in the 3000 steeplechase.
 
This is Brancato’s third NJIT Male Athlete of the Week honor this year, he also received it twice for cross country in the fall.
