NEWARK, NJ - NJIT women's fencer Margaret Christian a senior from Lake Hopatcong, NJ has been selected as NJIT Female Athlete of the Week for her performance during 2014 Eric Sollee Invitational hosted by Brandies University.

Christian was the top performer for the NJIT women, recording an 8-10 mark on the saber strip. The senior went 3-0 against Haverford while earning a 2-1 victory past Boston College and Stevens.

NJIT will return to action on February 16 when the Highlanders host the NJIT Invitational at the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
