Freshman Brian Capozzola received Metropolitan All-Conference Awards this past weekend at the METS Championships hosted by Rutgers where the Highlanders finished ninth out of 19 teams, the best finish ever at the event for NJIT.

Capozzola earned awards in the (200 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle), the 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Medley Relay and the 800 Freestyle Relay.

The freshman now holds three individual NJIT school records (50, 100, 200 freestyle) and four relay records (200 Free, 200 Medley, 400 Free, 400 Medley and 800 Free).
