New Jersey Institute of Technology Athletics

Sophomore John Porteous led the NJIT men's indoor track and field team Friday at the Fordham Season Opener held in the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse.

Porteous, the Highlanders sophomore captured the 400 meter dash title with a time of 49.9 and followed up with a first-place finish in the men's 60 meter hurdles with Wagner's Alan Kopeloff, with a time of 8.1. Last season, Porteous won the 2012 Great West Conference Outdoor Track and Field title in the men's 400 meter hurdles.
