Freshman Jason Poppe won the men's triple jump and placed second in the long jump at the Knights Classic Sunday in the 2012 season opener for the NJIT men's indoor track and field team.

Poppe won the men's triple jump and broke the NJIT varsity and freshman record in the first event of the day with a distance of 40-06 and later came back and took second in the long jump with a distance of 19-05.25.
