Nevea Van Wright was a member of the women’s basketball program from 1991-96
She is one of only two (swimmer Thomas Bradley) student-athletes in school history to be a four-time MVP
Van Wright was the first women’s basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point plateau
A three-time all-Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, she graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,322 career points
Van Wright finished her career ranked second in assists (256), third in steals (171) and career scoring average (16.3)
In her senior season, her team set a school record for winning percentage (16-5, .762) that still stands
