  • Nevea Van Wright was a member of the women’s basketball program from 1991-96
  • She is one of only two (swimmer Thomas Bradley) student-athletes in school history to be a four-time MVP
  • Van Wright was the first women’s basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point plateau
  • A three-time all-Women's Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, she graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,322 career points
  • Van Wright finished her career ranked second in assists (256), third in steals (171) and career scoring average (16.3)
  • In her senior season, her team set a school record for winning percentage (16-5, .762) that still stands
