Lou Mezzina played basketball for the Highlanders from 1989-92 and scored over 1,000 career points and more than 600 rebounds in his four-year.
His name is all over the career record book ranking 8 th with 114 career games, 10 th in rebounds with 640 and 28th with 1,104 points (28th).
He was tabbed as the IAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman and then was named an All-IAC Conference selection in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
Mezzina led NJIT to the school's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1990-91.
