Mal Simon is regarded as one of the foremost influencers of NCE/NJIT Athletics
Simon served the department with distinction from 1955 to 1994 as Professor, Coach and the Director of Physical Education and Athletics.
He continues to be an avid supporter for all Highlander programs
As soccer coach, he amassed 197 wins and led NJIT (then NCE) to its only national championship in 1960
As director, his leadership has provided a well rounded program for all students
Paramount to Simon was NJIT's commitment that athletes were students first
