On these pages you will find important information on what you need to know in order to become a student-athlete at NJIT.
We field 19 varsity teams at the NCAA Division I level, and we are proud of our success in competition and in out of the classroom. Depending on the sport, our teams compete both as members of Division I conferences and ad Division I independents.
NJIT supports and endorses all NCAA legislation in regard to compliance and the recruiting process. So please do not hesitate to contact the compliance office if you need further guidance. I wish you luck in your quest to participate in intercollegiate athletics.

High school students who are interested in participating in intercollegiate athletics at the Division I or II level are required to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Generally students should register with the NCAA eligibility center after they have completed their junior year in high school. Below are some of the requirements that must be sent the NCAA Eligibility Center for certification.
