NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's hockey were looking to do something they haven't achieved since 2015, clinch a playoff berth. A win against the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans would have given them just that as the 4th seed in the MCHC. But that was not the case as the Spartans won 8-1. The Highlanders finished 8-9-1 overall and 5-6-1 in MCHC play. It was the inaugural "Alumni Night" where President of the NJIT Hockey Commission Carmine Di Cosmo was honored. NEWARK, NJ - In the last weekend of the regular season for the NJIT Highlanders, they were looking to finish strong as they continue to play their playoff push. The TCNJ Lions were able to hang on for a 3-2 win at the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House. The Lions sweep the season series at 2-0 and the Highlanders finish with a 3-3 record against non-MCHC ACHA opponents. Their overall ACHA record is now 8-8-1.
