Read Jake Duncan's blog about his experience so far in Paris. Duncan is a freshman from Williamsburg, Virginia.
Here is the eighth blog from the trip:
Just finished up another amazing and successful day in Europe!
We started off the day with a great team breakfast and shortly after, the team boarded the bus heading to the world famous Louvre museum and did some shopping.
The museum was truly amazing and I even got to see the one and only Mona Lisa, after I shopped around with teammates Damon Lynn, Daquan Holiday and Rob Ukawuba. We spent our time shopping for gifts and souvenirs for our family.
Once we got back to the hotel, coach told us we had some down time to ourselves and to get some rest before we had to depart for the game. I've come to realize, though, there is no such thing as "down time" for our team, as we all went to get something to eat and continued shopping.
Next thing you know, it was game time as we faced off against a very athletic professional team located right outside of Paris. We came away with a 20-point victory after being tied at the end of the third quarter.
Now we have one more game left and have our sights set on leaving Europe on a good note with a 4-1 record.
Hard to believe that I'm here to play basketball and spend time with some of my closest friends and teammates. It's sad to say the trip is coming to a end, but its been truly amazing.
I want to thank NJIT and our coaching staff for putting together such a great trip for us. It definitely brought us closer as a team.
