Read Nigel Sydnor's blog about his experience so far in Paris. Sydnor is a sophomore from Baltimore, Maryland who is majoring in business.
Here is the sixth blog of the trip:
In so many ways, this trip has been nothing short of a dream come true! Coming from a family where none of us have ever been out of the country, everyday has been nothing short of a blessing. This experience has been surreal and I'm not sure where to begin in thanking the NJIT community for making this trip not only possible, but a success.
The European lifestyle is very exquisite from the all-you-can eat ribs the team enjoyed in Amsterdam, to the Belgium waffles in Belgium, all the way to the lit up Eiffel Tower in Paris; no two experiences have been alike.
I'm in shock that I have already been in Europe for seven days; it seems like we've only been here for two days. Before arriving, I did not have a clue what Europe had to offer, but I knew I wanted to come here with an open mind and experience their whole culture, which has been nothing less than amazing.
Europe is full of history, traditions, and beautiful landscapes and with a few days left I'm looking forward to the days and the games to come. We have a team that can be really good and very exciting to watch this year.
However, the best part of this trip has not been the sight seeing, food, museums, or the boat rides. The best part is hanging out with my brothers and getting to know and understand our differences!
It's been real. Thanks for reading my blog and let's go Highlanders. Wish us luck this year!
