NEWARK, NJ – Freshman Christian Puszies is the latest men's volleyball Hay Division I Player of the Week for the week ending February 7 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, the EIVA announced today.

Jon Sunder of Penn State was named Tait Division I Player of the Week.

Puszies, a freshman from Hamburg, Germany, hit .230 on the week averaging 4.71kills and 1.43 digs.  The outside hitter ranks eighth in the conference in kills per set with 3.78. 

In a loss at Sacred Heart, Puszies notched a career-high 24 kills and nine digs while on  Friday, he tallied nine kills hitting .250 against Princeton in the 2010 home men's volleyball opener for the Highlanders.

The Highlanders will play their next three matches on the road, beginning with a visit to fellow EIVA member Springfield on Tuesday night.
