Three Highlanders Advance On Day One of Eastern Women's Tennis Championships

WEST POINT, NY – Three Highlanders advanced Friday evening as the women’s tennis team competed at the Eastern Women's Tennis Championships hosted by Army.
Doubles pair Isha Toor and Anine Lovdal were dominate in the first round of play, as they combined for an 8-5 win advancing to the quarterfinals were they registered an 8-0 victory for the Highlanders. They will face Rhode Island’s Amanda Barletta and Brooke Hover in Saturday's semifinals.
Senior Dasa Stanimirovic advanced to the quarterfinals of singles play and will face Niagra’s Raquel Solis Saturday morning at Malek Courts.
Second day competition begins at 9:00am with the main draw of singles being played at Malek Courts and doubles at Litchenberg Tennis Center.
