BRONX, NY – Freshman Ewelina Marut was the top finisher for NJIT as the Highlanders competed at the Fordham Fiasco Saturday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park.
Marut, from East Rutherford, NJ, finished the 5k race 86th with a time of 21:17.66 while senior captain Cara Constantino clocked in at 22:01.77 placing 109th.
Highlander's Kelsey Johnson recorded a season-best crossing the finish line at 22:40.51. Teammates Shawntel Young and Kayla Howell rounded out the top performers finishing the race 166th and 167th place overall respectively.
The Highlanders will return to action on Sunday, September 20 when they host the annual NJIT Classic.
