TENAFLY, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology men's tennis team got on track Saturday night, scoring its first win of the spring semester, a 6-3 victory over East Stroudsburg that evened the Highlanders' season record at 3-3.

NJIT won four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles against East Stroudsburg in competition at the Tenafly Racquet Club.

Steve Arlt and Ramy Lawandy were double winners, taking their matches in first and second singles, respectively and then teaming for a win in first doubles. Arlt won his singles match 6-1, 7-6 (10-5) and Lawandy was a 6-1, 6-2 winner. They won the first doubles, 9-7.

The other singles winners for NJIT were Roger Wang at number five (6-1, 6-2) and Arjun Arand in the sixth spot (6-0, 6-4). Wang paired with Youness Assasi for an 8-4 win in third doubles.

The Highlanders will visit Queens College for a match on Friday, March 3, at noon.
